The Recorder Co-op - Past, Present & Future

A performance with special guests, showcasing a new generation of Australian recorder players. Featuring music of the Baroque, Renaissance and contemporary music for recorder quartet and octet. With recorder favourites by Bach & Telemann and Australian contemporary pieces by Stephen Leek, Ryan Williams and a new composition written by Catherine Sullivan.

Alicia Crossley and Alexandra Bailliet-Joly join the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to perform John William's score of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Alexandra Bailliet-Joly will conduct and tutor the group through a selection of large and small recorder ensemble pieces. 

Victorian Recorder Guild workshop led by the members of The Recorder Co-op

30 June, 10- 4pm Spensley Street Primary School, Clifton Hill

Existing ensembles that wish to be tutored in particular compositions have a session with each member of the Recorder Co-op.
The notes have been learned and then we can help with more musical ideas concerned with style, appropriate articulation, ornamentation and tuning.
The end of the workshop will bring the ensembles together for a short concert.

Ballarat Organ Festival

The Missa Salisburgensis of Heinrich Biber, Australian Premiere of this giant of Baroque Sacred Music. Director Gary Ekkel brings together the leading Australian performers of baroque music, instrument and voice.

Sydney Recorder Society workshop  weekend in Maitland. Alexandra Bailiet-Joly will be the tutor, guiding players through a variety of recorder repertoire. A fun weekend of playing music with people who can't usually attend Sydney Society meetings due to location.

 Trillo - Llibre Vermell de Montserrat

Early Music Ensemble TRILLO presents music from the late 14th Century Spanish manuscript, Llibre Vermell de Montserrat. The ensemble is made up of Melbourne Conservatorium students playing medieval instruments: recorders, rebec, vielle, lute, harp, psaltery, percussion and voice.

Canberra Recorder & Early Music Society (CREMS) Bundanoon Workshop

5-6 May, Bundanoon Public School, Church St, NSW 

The theme for this workshop is "Love is a Many Splendoured Thing". The four tutors for the weekend will be  Barbara Jerjen, Robyn Mellor, Ruth Wilkinson and Alexandra Bailliet-Joly.

Dolce Ombre - A Meditation

 The concert will  showcase music from the present that was inspired or composed with a reflection on the music of the Renaissance. This will include music by Arvo Part, and two new premieres of music by composers Alice Humphries &  Ryan Williams.

The residential Myrniong Recorder Weekend 2017 is a three-day festival of music-making, providing an excellent opportunity to make music together over an more extended time. Tutors include Ruth Wilkinson, Hans Dieter Michartz, Ryan Williams Alexandra Bailliet-Joly, Liz Zetzman and Roger Palmer.

THE RECORDER CO-OP is a recorder quartet made up of some of Australia's most well-known recorder players, including Hannah Coleman, Ruth Wilkinson, Ryan Williams and Alexandra Bailliet-Joly.  

Comfortable with many musical styles The Recorder Co-op also has a passion for commissioning new works for Renaissance style recorders, drawing from the deep past these special instruments speak to contemporary Australia.

2017 Orpheus Recorder Boutique

For over 25 years, Orpheus Music has been holding recorder courses which have become renowned across the world.
