Tiered levels ranging from beginner, intermediate, advanced and pre-professional levels of recorder playing. Workshop will present recorder repertoire from the medieval, renaissance, baroque to contemporary ensemble playing.

Christ Church Concert Music Festival

Un hommage à Notre-Dame de Paris
Sunday 21 July @ 2.30pm, Highfield Rd Uniting Church, 72 Highfield Rd Canterbury
TRILLO is delighted to invite you to a special concert dedicated to the precious historic monument Notre-Dame de Paris. On the 15th of April, a fire broke out beneath the roof of the 900-year-old cathedral. While the world witnessed this historical landmarks physical destruction, musicians around the world reflected on its significance in the history of western music. Although some of the structure was destroyed, the musical history surrounding the cathedral is very much alive and can be re-created (even on the other side of the world) with our historic instruments and playing styles.
Trillo - Music upon a Ground

TRILLO is delighted to invite you to an afternoon of Music based upon a ground. If you've ever wondered what a 16th century 'jam' session sounded like... this concert is for you!
We will be performing from some ancient written sources as well as adding a bit of our own improvisations and flare. We will also be explaining and showcasing the Renaissance & Baroque instruments we use.

A performance with special guests, showcasing a new generation of Australian recorder players. Featuring music of the Baroque, Renaissance and contemporary music for recorder quartet and octet. With recorder favourites by Bach & Telemann and Australian contemporary pieces by Stephen Leek, Ryan Williams and a new composition written by Catherine Sullivan.

Alicia Crossley and Alexandra Bailliet-Joly join the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to perform John William's score of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Victorian Recorder Guild workshop led by the members of The Recorder Co-op
30 June, 10- 4pm Spensley Street Primary School, Clifton Hill
Existing ensembles that wish to be tutored in particular compositions have a session with each member of the Recorder Co-op.
The notes have been learned and then we can help with more musical ideas concerned with style, appropriate articulation, ornamentation and tuning.
The end of the workshop will bring the ensembles together for a short concert.

Ballarat Organ Festival

A weekend of playing in Maitland

Sydney Recorder Society workshop weekend in Maitland. Alexandra Bailiet-Joly will be the tutor, guiding players through a variety of recorder repertoire. A fun weekend of playing music with people who can't usually attend Sydney Society meetings due to location.

Early Music Ensemble TRILLO presents music from the late 14th Century Spanish manuscript, Llibre Vermell de Montserrat. The ensemble is made up of Melbourne Conservatorium students playing medieval instruments: recorders, rebec, vielle, lute, harp, psaltery, percussion and voice.
Dolce Ombre - A Meditation

The concert will showcase music from the present that was inspired or composed with a reflection on the music of the Renaissance. This will include music by Arvo Part, and two new premieres of music by composers Alice Humphries & Ryan Williams.

Comfortable with many musical styles The Recorder Co-op also has a passion for commissioning new works for Renaissance style recorders, drawing from the deep past these special instruments speak to contemporary Australia.
2017 Orpheus Recorder Boutique

For over 25 years, Orpheus Music has been holding recorder courses which have become renowned across the world. The annual Orpheus Recorder Boutique (ORB) includes recorder workshops, technique classes, concerts, and small and large recorder ensemble groups with tuition from some of the world's leading recorder players. A time of wonderful music making, motivation and inspiration, and judging by the many returning participants, Orpheus Music recorder courses are the pinnacle of a recorder player’s year!
